I had to colour this up after I started doing some tests. Kinda liked the desaturated look.
Some more sketches from the last few days. My character Lekka, and E’lari Sero.
I’ve been drawing a lot lately. That’s actually not a lie, yesterday I filled a few pages with random doodles and a study of a swan; today I did about ten gestures and got to work on this little lady here.
Here is a whole bunch of stuff I have been working on lately. All of it fanart of OC’s from FFXIV!
Update on the illustration progress
This came from todays stream actually. I’ve been home sick feeling tired and having headaches on and off, but I managed to sneak in an hour where I felt okay enough to colour in what I had already done on lineart.
Hey hey. I’ve been working more on that lineart for day 364’s piece. Some more sketches in between and some scripting for comics that I actually need to start drawing… Also new job! I started my new job on the 5th. That was also a bit taxing on the energy.
I couldn’t think of anything more inspirational for the title, so there goes. Today I did a bunch of doodles at work, and then decided to do a little gesture and pose practice – It ended up evolving into designing a silly little outfit as well! So that was kinda fun.
Maybe I’ll put some more work into this, I think it has the potential to be drawn properly, who knows.
Well. This was bound to happen sometime. Canada suddenly got interested in ice-skating.
I swear this started as just a gesture.
I am sleepy, I feel sick, and I’m sad because I heard some bad news about my grandfather today. Crossing fingers and toes for him to get better while I try to keep from throwing up..
Basically this wasn’t a day where I was going to do anything exemplary, so I just coloured in my earlier drawing.
Yarr. Refined the sketch and feel like it came along quite nicely. Then I filled it in with flat colour. Still haven’t done that whole painting it thing, but I kind of just did what felt natural – Had a lot of cleaning up to do, bunch of lines that made no sense when you look at them in context, so that’s sorted.
