Today was a pretty productive day. The warmup is with reference; and the other sketch is without~
So this is a piece I have been slowly working on for a while. In the last few days I finalized the third character; Lekka. And I guess now I might finish it!
Pheasant, Opylona, Lekka
Kicking! I’m learning some more action poses now that I’m doing sketches for a comic project. This one was particularly fun for me because it for once didn’t include a face for me to obsess over.
Some more sketches from the last few days. My character Lekka, and E’lari Sero.
I’ve been drawing a lot lately. That’s actually not a lie, yesterday I filled a few pages with random doodles and a study of a swan; today I did about ten gestures and got to work on this little lady here.
Did a bunch more work on this little thing today on the Companion 2. It’s a good device! The only downside I’ve noticed so far is that as it goes into power saving, the screen brightness goes down as well.
This is of course fairly obvious, happens with most portable computers; But if you are going to be doing colour work, it seems important to turn that up during at least, because subtleties go away.
Here is a whole bunch of stuff I have been working on lately. All of it fanart of OC’s from FFXIV!
Update on the illustration progress
It’s done now at least, it might need some editing or detailing later before I lineart it. But I cannot be bothered to summon that energy right now, already fixed lots of little stuff.
I am pretty happy with it! I think it might turn out good, although it does rely on my terrible colouring skills to do.
Primarily with the interior designers of Eorzea. I mean she understands the needs of multiculturalism; accomodating for the smaller races. But she struggles to understand how she ended up on the “childrens” seat.
More studies of the same character! I’ve found I actually quite enjoy this. It’s nice to explore what a character looks like and what I can do with her appearance in different settings and styles.
